Daydreams/Soñar Despierto

Dreams are something that usually come to us as we’re sleeping at night. However, I have to tell you, my most fulfilling experience with dreams have been while I’ve been wide awake. I prefer to dream while awake, because I get to choose what I dream. If I don’t like how the dream is going, I can change it.

Lately I’ve been dreaming of a new life. Quitting my job, maybe living in a new city, maybe in a new country, making a living as writer, being creative and being paid for it. Each time I daydream the subject changes. The wealth of possibilities, as are things to dream about, are endless.

I don’t know if my dreams will come true or not. I tell you, I’m having so much fun dreaming about things, the way they can be. You should see what I see. My life is going to be so beautiful.

Many have heard Shakespearean quote “to sleep perchance to dream”. I have changed the quote as it pertains to me: “To wake perchance to dream”.

Sueños son algo que suele venir a nosotros como estamos durmiendo durante la noche. Sin embargo, tengo que decirle, mi más gratificante experiencia con sueños han sido mientras que he sido bien despiertos. Prefiero soñar despierto, porque me pongo a elegir lo que yo sueño. Si no me gusta cómo el sueño se va, puedo cambiarlo.

Últimamente he estado soñando con una nueva vida. Dejar mi trabajo, quizá viviendo en una ciudad nueva, tal vez en un nuevo país, ganarse la vida como escritor, ser creativo y ser pagado por ello. Cada vez que me daydream el tema cambios. La riqueza de posibilidades, como son las cosas para soñar son infinitas.

No sé si mis sueños se hará realidad o no. Te digo, estoy teniendo tan divertido soñar con cosas, lo que pueden ser. Debería ver lo que veo. Mi vida va a ser tan hermosa.

Muchos han oído la cita de Shakespeare "dormir acaso a soñar". He cambiado la oferta lo que se refiere a mí: "para despertar acaso a soñar".
