I'm Not Blue, I'm Indigo/No Soy Azul, Soy Añil

I’m Not Blue, I’m Indigo

The color indigo. The color of the midnight sky.

The color that blue and violet make. The color indigo.

One day, when I was feeling, oh, let’s say "less than happy",

 I told a friend I was feeling blue. This friend said to me,

“You’re not blue, you’re indigo.”

At first I thought this friend was teasing me.

I thought, “yeah right, how can a person be indigo?”

I was so curious, in fact, that I began to research

just how a person can be indigo.

Some traits of an indigo person are: wise, insightful,

spiritually aware, intuitive, perceptive, devoted, just, fair, responsible, and devoted to the truth.

Maybe I don’t have these traits.  But, maybe I do have

these traits.  Perhaps the greatest trait of an indigo

person is introspection. That is one trait of being an

indigo person that I will admit to.

Through expressing myself through my writing,

 this has created great introspection. I cannot write,

create, without introspection. Thinking about

things deeply, feeling things deeply, letting myself

feel things deeply, that is how I create. That is how

I am learning to live. That is how I am learning to

breathe. That is how I learned to fly.

My wings are a deep indigo color, made iridescent

by the light of the moon.

My friend was right-I’m not blue, I’m indigo.

No Soy Azul, Soy Añil

El color añil. El color del cielo de medianoche. El color que el azul y el violeta hacer. El color añil.

Un día, cuando me estaba sintiendo, oh, digamos "menos de feliz", yo dije a un amigo que yo estaba azul. Este amigo me dijo: "Tú no eres azul, eres añil."

Al principio pensé que este amigo me estaba tomando el pelo. Yo pensé: "Sí, claro, ¿cómo puede una persona ser índigo?" Yo estaba muy curioso, de hecho, que comencé a investigar hasta qué punto una persona puede ser añil.

Algunos rasgos de una persona añil son: el sabio, profundo, espiritual consciente, intuitiva, perceptiva, dedicado, es justo, responsable y dedicada a la verdad. Tal vez no tengo estos rasgos. Pero, tal vez tengo estos. Quizás el mayor rasgo de una persona añil es la introspección. Que es un rasgo de ser una persona añil que voy a admitir.

A través de expresarme a través de mi escritura, esto ha creado una gran introspección. No puedo escribir, crear, sin introspección. Pensar en las cosas profundamente, sintiendo las cosas profundamente, dejando mi mismo sentir que las cosas me siento profundamente, que es la forma en que creo. Así es como estoy aprendiendo a vivir. Así es como estoy aprendiendo a respirar. Así es como aprendí a volar.  Mis alas son de un color añil, hizo iridiscente a la luz de la luna.

Mi amigo tenía razón-no soy azul, soy añil.
