Poetess

I am a poet; I create poems with my palette of words.

I am a translator; I help authors reach audiences in other languages.

I am a singer; I fill a room with my voice.

I am an author; I can write a story to move the sternest heart.

I am not an actor or director or clown or mime.

I am not a model, not a statue.

I am a writer.

I live a life in the arts.

I may not have your opinions, your views.

I may not have your talents, your gifts.

But your talents are just as special as mine.

Your skills, what you bring to the world,

   are just as valid as mine.

You have changed the world with your art.

And so have I.

What am I?

I am a writer, a translator, a singer, a poet.

A citizen of the world.

A person living a life in the arts.

Does that make me an artist? Maybe.

A person that contributes to society? I hope so.

I hope my words have meaning.

I hope my words can help someone who is going through the same situation.

I hope my words brighten someone’s day.

I don’t care if my skills, my talents are different than yours.

I respect them all the same.

I am a fellow creator in the arts.

I will celebrate your talents and skills as I hope you will celebrate mine.

As creators, artists, we all deserve respect.

We are part of a rich community that demands it.

I am proud to be in this community.

A community where each creator’s talents are appreciated and celebrated.

I belong in this community. I am of this community.

Because I am a poet.

Soy un poeta; creo poemas con mi paleta de palabras.

Soy un traductora; ayudo a autores de llegar a audiencias en otros idiomas.

Soy una cantante; lleno una habitación con mi voz.

Soy un autor; puedo escribir una historia para mover el corazón hipercrítica.

No soy un actor o director o payaso o mimo.

No soy un modelo, no una estatua.

Soy escritora.

Vivo una vida en las artes.

Tal vez no tengo tus opiniones, tus puntos de vista.

Tal vez no tengo tus talentos, tus dones.

Pero tus talentos son tan especial como la mía.

Tus habilidades, lo que usted debe traer al mundo entero,

        son tan válidos como la mía.

Has cambiado el mundo con tu arte.

Y yo también.

¿Qué soy?

Soy un escritora, traductora, cantante, poeta.

Un ciudadano del mundo.

Una persona que vive una vida en las artes.

¿Me hace un artista? Tal vez.

¿Una persona que contribuye a la sociedad? Espero que sí.

Espero que mis palabras tienen un significado.

Espero que mis palabras pueden ayudar a alguien que está atravesando

         la misma situación.

Espero que mis palabras alegren el día de alguien.

No me importa si mis habilidades, mis talentos son diferentes a la tuya.

Los respeto al mismo.

Soy un creador de compañera en las artes.

Celebraré tus talentos y habilidades como espero que celebrarás míos.

Como creadores, artistas, todos merecemos respeto.

Somos parte de una rica comunidad que lo requiera.

Estoy orgulloso de estar en esta comunidad.

Una comunidad donde los talentos de cada creador son apreciados y celebrados.

Pertenezco a esta comunidad. Soy de esta comunidad.

Porque soy un poeta.
