My Journey to the Moon
My journey has begun,
my journey to the Moon.
Lift off was a few moments ago,
and everything is running smoothly.
I am flying through the atmosphere.
I am in orbit.
The universe is racing by at blinding speed.
Normally I would be terrified,
being up so high in the atmosphere.
But honestly, I am not afraid.
I am traveling in a spaceship full of hope.
I am looking out the window of the spaceship,
in total awe of the beauty before me.
The universe is a truly beautiful place.
It takes your breath away.
I am not taking this journey alone.
One of my dear friends has made this journey before;
I am his guest on this voyage.
I do not know what wonders await me,
Out here, floating in the universe.
I am not filled with any hesitation or trepidation-
I am only filled with excitement and joy.
I have my camera ready, and am ready to see
the wonders that lay before me.
I will be back to the Earth soon-
I won’t be gone long.

Mi Viaje a la Luna
Mi viaje ha comenzado,
mi viaje a la Luna.
Levante fue hace unos momentos,
y todo está funcionando bien.
Soy volando a través de la atmósfera.
Estoy en órbita.
El universo está corriendo a toda velocidad cegadora.
Normalmente yo estaría aterrado,
siendo tan alto en la atmósfera.
Pero, honestamente, no tengo miedo.
Estoy viajando en una nave llena de esperanza.
Estoy mirando por la ventana de la nave,
con asombro total de la belleza antes que yo.
El universo es un lugar verdaderamente hermosa.
Se quita el aliento.
No soy de tomar este viaje solo.
Uno de mis queridos amigos, ha hecho este viaje antes,
soy su invitado en este viaje.
No sé lo que me esperan maravillas,
fuera de allí, flotando en el universo.
No estoy lleno de vacilación ni temor,
sólo estoy lleno de emoción y alegría.
Yo tengo mi cámara lista, y estoy listo para ver
las maravillas que tenía ante mí.
Estaré de regreso a la Tierra pronto-
no se ha ido de largo.
Si necesitas ponerse en contacto conmigo mientras yo me haya ido,
mira a la Luna.
Siempre estoy aquí cuando me necesites.
